Change Starts with "ME"

 

            "All things are permanent except Change". All things under and beyond the sun changes as time passes by. However, the home of change, where it starts, was "ME".

            Change for me, is like an egg soon to hatch. Do you force to hatch that egg and bring out a baby bird? No, right? ... Therefore, like change, the egg must hatch on its own. We must start the change on our own, with ourselves. On that egg, the warmth and care given to it was not the thing that change he egg, but it only inspired it to change. Like us, other people do not change us, it's "me" that changes "me", and that other people only inspires us to change.

            In our world, change is a must thing to do, if we do not change, we cannot adapt ourselves to our surroundings, and so, we must change - like in the phrase, "Go with the Flow". Now, if you have changed, do not change other people as well, but inspire them to change. Change now, Inspire later.

KANNAWIDAN

           

          One of the highlights of Ilocos Sur Festivals is the festival called "Kannawidan". Kannawidan is an Ilocano term means "tawid" meaning heritage or inheritance.

            Here in Ilocos Sur, Kannawidan is one of the happiest, most wonderful and one of the most awaited festival. Here, every culture and product here in Ilocos Sur, are presented every year, in only one place, mainly in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur's capital. The OTOP, or "One Town, One Product", are usually shown in every Kannawidan festival like, Longganisa and Burnay in Vigan City, Furnitures in San Vicente, Basi in San Ildefonso, Vegetables of Santa Catalina, and many other more OTOP's. Kannawidan festival is celebrates in almost a week starting from January 29. The Province of Ilocos Sur yearly sets an entertainment for the Ilocanoes and foreigners like having a concert or inviting a local or foreign artist. They also set a carnival-like place for people to enjoy.

            Kannawidan is not only for entertainment but also informative. It gives knowledge to people about culture and products of every town here in Ilocos Sur.  Kannawidan is a very happy celebration. It is an excellent entertainment to us. It is a celebration you don't want to miss, so, "Intayon!".

"After many Years..................."

            There are so many things swirling and running and circling in our minds, one of which is the question, "What would I become after many years?"

            In our daily lives, seldom to think of what would we become after years, but it is a thing, a very special thing, we must imagine and to think of. Future is one of the main things why we do things. We work for the future, we make for the future, and we think for the future. Future is a very special thing for all of us, for every one of us wants to have a good future. A future where we have no problems, no consequences, and no burdens.

            Like every one of us, I also want a good future. I like to become a Civil Engineer. I want to plan and build establishments, worthy establishments, to help people and myself.  I want to have a family, a happy family. I want to share love not only in my career but also in my own family. In addition, I want to have children that will call me "Papa". Calling you "Papa" is very pleasing to my ears.

            Future is a big thing for mo especially to all teenagers. I do things for this. I work hard for this. Moreover, especially, I love, for this. So, after many years, the things will happen, God is the only one who knows this.

New Year, New Me

  

           Most of us, in every year, wants to do something, to ourselves. We would like to change for the better. Like them, I would like to be changed.

          This year, 2014, I would like to become more industrious than last year. Because, I saw that my outputs last year was not that good, so I made this decision. All my manners and attitude would like be the same as last year but I will change my habit in doing things. I will be more industrious.

          All the changes we made or we will be made, will give big effects to our future.So, every time, every now and then, we must do things that are worth it.

Reflection: Third Grading

          First Grading, good... Second Grading, Better... Third Grading,...hmmmm.... bad?!!!!
          For the second half of my fourth year life, this entire grading was very breath-taking and very "buzzy". Mountains of assignments, millions of requirements, oceans of activities,... these were the places I came from, and now, it looks like I will go back again, and travel with the same path. This Third Grading Period seems like every minute was the time for working and there was no time for rest. Working there, working here, and working everywhere. For all of these what happened, all I want for now is to sleep, sleep and sleep.
          In every journey, you will come up with new lessons, like the movies and stories we watch and read. In my journey, I also learned some lessons. The lesson I learned from my journey is only a word... the word "Diligence". This was the word that was absent in my mind last grading period, so all I did was hurried my activities and assignments, so the output was not that good. For the Third Grading Period, the lesson I learned was to pack some "diligence" in everything I do and I will do

"Christmas is always Merry"

           

           

             On-off lights, a tree with many decorations, "bling-blings" on every corner, children caroling house to house,... these things we can see in every Christmas Season, is a normal scenario to every one of us.

           But, did you ever think of what TRUE Christmas is?... Why we decorate?... Why is there a tree called "Christmas Tree"?

           In every Christmas season, there is always a lot of served foods, lots of money, lots of gifts. But, this is not the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas is SHARING - sharing of love, blessing and care. In Christmas, let's not mind the material things, but the love, we and they, are sharing.                                                 Christmas should be a key to bind our family stronger. Christmas should be our bridge to share love and blessings we have - like the song " Spread Love on Christmas Day". Christmas should be our guide to direct us  to our True Happiness. For all of God's children, we must say that our Christmas is a MERRY CHRISTMAS.

"Minie, Minie, My Nemo"

                

                 Parents are fair to their children... A referee in a game is fair to players... Our God is fair to us...

                The Government is fair to people???!...WHAT?!

            There are millions of times that the people are doubtful of the government for the decisions and projects they made. Almost all of the people don't believe on the government for the say that the government is very "UNFAIR". They say that rich person tends to be richer, and a poor person tends to be poorer. They also say that the government is only for the rich, not for all the people concerned.

               But for me, Government is always FAIR. It was just covered by people madly thirsty of money and power. Because of their thirst, they made their selves blind for what is right or wrong. So, they made decisions that are not good and that made the government unfair.

              Let's bear in our minds that Government is always fair for all of us. Let's always think that the government is blindfolded to decide well for the step they will do. Let's not think that the government is the fault of our sufferings but the one who rules this. And lastly, let's not think that the government judges by "Minie, Minie, My Nemo!".
